Painting with Acrylics (Mondays 6-8pm) spring
SPRING SESSION: MARCH 2 - APRIL 19
Class Description:
In this class we will paint with Acrylic paints on canvas or board with a focus on how to use our own photos from walks, travel and our daily lives as inspiration for paintings. The instructor will provide landscape photos from nature and students are encouraged to bring their own. The class is suitable for both beginners and experienced painters. Students will learn to plan their painting with a sketch, set up their palette and mix colors finding the basic composition and adding more details. Emphasis is on the student’s perspective and what interests them to make a painting. Students can work on one to three paintings for the entire session depending on their subject and independent projects are welcome. The instructor will discuss approaches to landscape painting in the studio and share images by contemporary painters for inspiration. The goal is enjoyment of the painting process in the studio.
PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS A $25 MATERIALS FEE INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF THIS CLASS.
