Teen Art Lab

Free art workshops for West Philly teenagers

Cohort 1:

Starting October 24th!

Teen Art Lab program connects West Philadelphia middle & high school students with professional artists, designers, and makers working or exhibiting across the city and beyond.

This free, cohort style program meets once a week after school over the course of three months. The cohort will engage with several key areas: design, sound, and curation. Students will work towards one large scale creative project driven by their own interests and guided research. TAL instructors are professionals representing each of our partners specialties. Students will be presenting their “big ideas” to a panel of industry professionals at the close of each cohort, as well as exhibiting their ideas in our contemporary gallery space. Instructors serve as mentors and work with students to dig deeper into their interests while encouraging them to try, fail, play and make freely.
