Visions of Complexity: A Multimedia Art Exhibition Illuminating the Intersection of Art and Science
“Visions of Complexity” spotlights the compelling connection between art and science, showcasing an array of artistic mediums that invite visitors to explore the research into polygenic diseases, including depression and addiction. The exhibition seeks to bridge the gap between the data-driven world of genetics research and the deeply personal experiences associated with mental health.
Throughout the exhibition, artists in residence Angela McQuillan and Julie Rainbow each offer their unique perspectives on the challenges faced in understanding and treating conditions that are influenced by both our genetic makeup and the world around us. Their works transform scientific research into a thought-provoking visual language that engages viewers on an emotional level.
“Visions of Complexity” is an exploration of the beauty that arises from the fusion of seemingly disparate worlds. In an era where the boundaries between disciplines are continuously expanding, this exhibition invites visitors on a journey of introspection and discovery. It encourages dialogue, understanding, and empathy as we collectively strive to unravel the mysteries of our shared human experience.
