Annual Artist Convening 2024

Grounded: Making & Teaching in the Now

How do we as artists and makers address polarizing topics in our studio practice and classroom spaces? What does a socially engaged art practice or curriculum look like in the present day? Is cultural competency enough to ensure classrooms are sensitive to our students?

Join us in collective consideration of these and related questions during the second installment of The Arts League’s annual Artist Convening. This weekend-long convening is an opportunity to connect meaningfully with other artists and arts educators interested in finding actionable means of workshopping their practice to be relevant in the here and now.
