Sculptural Explorations (Sundays 2-4pm)
WINTER SESSION: JANUARY 6 - FEBRUARY 23
Class Description:
In this six-week course, young artists will explore different materials, techniques, and artistic inspirations. Each week is packed with hands-on activities that introduce participants to renowned artists and their distinctive styles. Students will work on four main projects experimenting with paper-mâché, wire, clay, sewing and more. This class is designed to spark creativity and let young artists discover the exciting world of sculpture in a supportive and fun environment. This class is family friendly and open to all ages (children should be accompanied by an adult).
Teacher Info:
Sofia Sierra is a Philadelphia based fine artist with a focus in wood sculpture, drawing, painting, and printmaking. She moved from the St. Louis, Missouri area, where she grew up, to pursue a bachelor's in fine arts at The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art in Philadelphia. She graduated in Spring of 2024 and is now continuing her studio practice.
