Class Description:
In this drawing class, we will experiment with observations made from life as it unfolds before us. Through life drawing, photography, tracing, and imaginative exercises, we will uncover compositions that break away from preconceived expectations we might hold within ourselves. We'll embrace fictional elements using instinct to create work that strives to feel like a spontaneous performance. Join The Arts League to create a small body of drawings embracing the beauty and joy of play.

Sofia Sierra is a Philadelphia based fine artist with a focus in wood sculpture, drawing, painting, and printmaking. She moved from the St. Louis, Missouri area, where she grew up, to pursue a bachelor's in fine arts at The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art in Philadelphia. She graduated in Spring of 2024 and is now continuing her studio practice.
