Neill Catangay’s multimedia process employs sculpture, illustration, paintings, and video. As a first-generation Guamanian Filipino American, Catangay embraces his cultural identity and upbringing to create work that investigates themes of humanism, consumption, materialism, histories of colonization, and the evolving interactions between humans and technology using pop culture references and personal imagery. By combining visual art with research and introspection, he seeks to offer new perspectives and speculate solutions for both individual and collective futures.
