Intro to Knitting: Make a Scarf (Mondays 4-6pm)
WINTER SESSION: JANUARY 6 - FEBRUARY 23
Class Description:
The holiday and colder seasons are quickly approaching, so why not cozy up and stay warm with a homemade scarf? Learn how to knit a color-blocked, fringed scarf. Students ranging from beginner to intermediate levels will learn to knit, purl, cast on and off, and create a fringe for their one-of-a-kind color-blocked scarf.
Teacher Info:
Elena Gans-Pfister is a fiber sculptor and installation-based artist. EG-P’s artwork is informed by micro and marine biology, with liking the concept of taking the micro and blowing it up to the macro. Gans-Pfister was raised learning a variety of hand-fiber processes, which include, but are not limited to: cross-stitching, sewing, crocheting, knitting, and much more. These are the tools used to create EG-P’s bold and expressive work.
